I’m a climber, cold water coach, illustrator, meditator, and advocate for nature and the calm found in our breath. I love coffee, cats, and a handmade pottery mug.

In 2012, several major events plunged my world into darkness – a tragic death and my serious climbing accident shattered my perspective. Seeking a new start, I left the city for a quieter town and began rebuilding. Over 14 years, that window onto nature grew more vibrant than I imagined – all starting with a single step into a still, cold lake.

Growing up, I was lucky to spend my childhood on beaches, by the sea, and in forests, connecting with natural spaces with curiosity. However, as I entered adulthood, took a corporate job and travelled the globe, life grew busier, and this connection to nature was lost for a time. It was only after moving closer to nature in the aftermath of those life events that this connection – and an awareness of my breath and ‘be-ing’ – flooded back.

My work now centres on mental well-being and connection with nature. I help CEOs, charities, sportspeople, and individuals.

“Born and raised in the North East of Scotland I was never far from a beach, forest or loch, but in my early 20’s at university I forgot this part of me.”

“Following a very successful career in the corporate retail world in the UK and America I realised there was more to life than helping people improve share holder payouts and stock prices.”

“Using the skills I’d developed in that world I took a turn onto a slightly less trodden path, moved to the Alps and learnt to climb and snowboard (badly).”

“Since then I’ve walked a new path working and playing more in the outdoor world, not without a bumpy road, serious climbing accidents, personal tragedies and the odd dead end – but that’s the joy of living.”

“I’ve been very lucky to have been in the right place at the right time in the rising popularity and interest in the “cold world”, and I’ve probably swum in more iced-up, high-up bodies of water than anyone else in the UK. I love sharing what I have found, over the years outdoors, with others. There really is a whole world we are still discovering, this is just the beginning.”

“The power to stop and listen, to feel my breath and to be in the outdoors as a beautiful space for connection, mediation and play whilst leaving it better is rooted in my work. I’m excited to share it with you.”
